Investments

As an AustralianSuper Pension member, you have the opportunity to choose from 15 different investment options.

The Financial Year to Date rates displayed are indicative and may be subject to adjustment shortly. All daily rates displayed are correct.

You can invest in one option or a combination of the options, and change options as your needs change. There is no fee if you switch investment options.

If you don't make a choice, your superannuation will be invested in the AustralianSuper Balanced Investment Option, which is the Fund’s default option. You can then switch out of this option when you are ready to make a choice.

PLEASE NOTE: Returns that include periods prior to January 2008 are provided for information purposes only. These returns have been calculated based on
(1) The actual returns of the AustralianSuper Pension options from 1 January 2008; and
(2) An estimate of the returns that would have applied for those options for periods before 1 January 2008 if the AustralianSuper Pension had been available at that time. These estimated returns have been calculated by adjusting the declared returns for each option within AustralianSuper's accumulation division to allow for tax and franking credit differences . Where the period begins prior to June 2006, the estimated returns are based in part on the combined returns for AustralianSuper's two predecessor funds, ARF and STA.

In calculating historical return information we have combined return information from previous ARF and STA investment options. Where only one of the merging funds previously offered an equivalent option in the new product suite, the returns of that option have been used. Where both funds offered the equivalent option, the returns have been asset weighted across both options on a monthly basis, where possible. Investment returns are not guaranteed as all investments carry some risk. Past performance is not an indication of future performance.

The Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) and other information shown in this section is current as at 1 November 2009. The Trustee may alter the strategic asset allocation or the composition of individual asset classes from time to time to suit prevailing market circumstances.
