Why choose?
No single investment option suits everyone. So it’s important to choose an investment option that will help you reach your financial goals.
If you haven’t made an investment choice, your super will automatically be investment in the
Balanced Investment Option (the ‘default’ option).
Making the right choice
When it comes to choosing an investment option, the two main factors you need to consider are your investment goals and your risk profile.
1. Your investment time frame
Most people want to earn as much as possible from their investments. But a realistic assessment of your goals, including the returns required to meet your lifestyle aims, will help identify the most appropriate investment strategy for you.
2. Your risk profile
There’s no such thing as a risk free investment. The level of risk you’re comfortable with depends on the type of investor you are.
What can I choose from?
AustralianSuper gives you a choice of 15 investment options, including our six PreMixed Investment Options that combine different types of asset classes to meet specific investment objectives set by the Fund, and the nine asset-specific DIY Mix Options where you build your own portfolio by choosing your own combination of asset classes.
